NOTE: * Last service before winter 'hibernation' of the building; summer service pattern with all eight buildings will resume in spring 2025. Why do we do this? Colby church has no electricity supply, Suffield church has no heating, the lane to Sloley church floods regularly, so none of these three are suitable to use for Sunday services in the coldest and wettest months of winter. However, all eight buildings remain available for funeral services throughout the year.
I am delighted to let you know that The Revd Cheryl Ramballi, and her husband Moti, have joined our church in King’s Beck. Cheryl is moving from Chelmsford Diocese to complete the final year of her curacy here. She will be with us on three Sundays a month, and will also be around the villages usually on a Tuesday. I am looking forward to working with Cheryl, and contributing to her vicar training! Cheryl will be licensed by the Bishop of Thetford at 7.00pm on Wednesday 30th October at St Andrew, Felmingham. All welcome!
Revd David
About us
We are a friendly, welcoming church community, set in the beautiful North Norfolk countryside. We are one church, even though we meet in eight buildings! Most of the members of the church family travel to wherever the service is being held, so we are together every Sunday. We would love you to join us!
Our services are at 10am, lasting for around an hour. We sing hymns and songs, pray and listen to God's Word from the Bible. We usually have Holy Communion (also known as the Eucharist) as part of our services, and you are welcome to join in as much or as little as you wish. We serve refreshments after all our services, and all are welcome to stay for these.
We are delighted to offer Baptisms and Weddings, and consider it a privilege to help families with the arrangements for Funerals. Please get in touch if you would like to enquire about any of these, or if you would welcome a pastoral conversation or visit; I'm always happy to drink tea and chat!
With my love and prayers,

The Revd David Chamberlin, Rector.

Safeguarding
As a church, and across our eight village communities, we take seriously the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. We follow the national Church of England guidelines for safeguarding, and all our ministers and volunteers have undergone a safer recruitment process, including a check at the appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service. Our Safeguarding Policy and other information is clearly displayed in all our church buildings.

If you have a safeguarding concern, please contact one of our Named Persons, either our Rector, The Revd David Chamberlin, 01692 773886 revdavid@kingsbeck.org.uk or our Parish Safeguarding Officer Heather McEwen, heathermcewenchurch@gmail.com.

Anyone can also find out more, or raise a safeguarding concern with the Diocese of Norwich safeguarding team, at www.dioceseofnorwich.org/about/safeguarding.
